Dr. Medalith Somers is a general and cosmetic dentist fully committed to her patients’ smiles, providing them with a gentle and comfortable experience every time. No matter her patients’ concerns – emergency, restorative, or cosmetic, she ensures their trust is always in the best hands possible, while giving her patients beautiful and confident smiles.
She received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from University of Illinois at Chicago – College of Dentistry, where she was involved in many different organizations and research.
During her attendance she was the recipient of 2 awards while participating in the Translational Science Annual Research Day at UIC. Therefore, nominated her to participate nationally at the Hinman Student Research Symposium by the University of Tennessee – College of Dentistry.
She is fully committed to giving her patients the best, and that means keeping her mind and skills sharp! Active in several dental study clubs that promote excellence and learning of new and existing techniques. Each year, she takes many advanced courses to enhance her skills to remain at the cutting edge of the dentistry field.
She currently volunteer at the Chicago Dental Society Foundation Dental Clinic in Wheaton, which provides service to patients with low or no income.
She is a member of the America Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society and West Suburban Dental Society. In her spare time she volunteers at the Chicago Dental Society Foundation Dental Clinic in Wheaton, providing dental services to patients with low or no income.
Outside of the office, Dr. Somers enjoys traveling with her daughter, biking, dancing and exercising.
